Have you always wanted to try endurance but didn’t know where to start? Now is your chance.
ACT Endurance Riders Association is running two introductory rides of 13km and 22km on Saturday 2 September, plus information sessions to make sure you get the most out of the experience.
The ride base is at ‘Brookvale’, located on Mountain Creek Road, off Uriarra Road about 30 minutes from Canberra. Brookvale campsite is in a picturesque valley with a fresh water creek running through it. Facilities are basic, with bush and hire toilets, some firewood and horse water available. You will need to bring your own drinking water.
The rides will take place on unsealed tracks through the beautiful Sherwood Forest, accompanied by experienced endurance riders.
There is more information about the rides and how to enter here. You can also look for ‘Canberra Brookvale’ on the NSWERA website, the ACTERA website www.actera.org.au and Facebook: ACT Endurance Riders Association.
