ACTEA will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 14 June at the Raiders Club in Weston. Apart from usual business of an AGM and presenting awards to nominated candidates we will be looking to confirm a new Committee for the coming year.
ACTEA does an enormous amount for the local equestrian community. Apart from running Equestrian Park through the Equestrian Park Management Group, the ACTEA Committee spends lot of time lobbying for safer, better and more access to riding space in Canberra as well as protecting what we have from death by development. We always need enthusiastic Committee members. The minimum call on a Committee members time is one 2 hour meeting a month but there are opportunities to become involved in on site meetings and discussions with government agencies about protecting the equestrian asset. Most of these meetings take place during working hours but there are other ways to help. We have submissions to write and a website which could do more than it does. We are also busy mapping the trails equestrians use in the ACT. New ideas are always good.
If you think you might be interested in helping in some way please get in touch for a conversation.
